What's the point of singing worship and praise songs if we don't even know what we're singing? Does the phrase "The Lord is Come" supposed to mean? Or what about a line like, "exalted above all blessing and praise"? Isn't that a bit abstract for most people? What does that mean? And what about out-dated King James English lyrics? If it's not in our modern-day language, how is it supposed to help us?
Or for the unchurched non-Christian, what would a song like, "The Lamb is worthy to be slain" sound like? Or songs about "the blood of Christ"?
