Outsiders' Objections to Christianity
This is an attempt at a comprehensive list of objections a non-christian might give for not considering Christianity. If most of the following is not true about the Church, then what kind of image are we perpetuating?

I. Christianity is an organized religion.
 A. It requires a dependence on professional religious authorities to interpret and explain truth, and to act as a mediator  between you and God, resulting in:
    1. The loss of independence and individual thought.
    2. Vulnerability to error, control and manipulation.
 B. It requires the necessity of religious buildings for instruction, and for performance of ceremonies and rituals.
 C. It requires continuous financing.
 D. It controls people through the fear of eternal damnation, and the reward of heaven.

II. Christianity is sexist.
 A. It teaches women's inferiority and subordination to men.
 B. Few women are accepted in leadership.
 C. It teaches against a woman's "right to choose."
 D. It teaches that a woman's role is as housewife and child-bearer.

III. Christianity is against sex.
 A. It teaches that sex is sinful.
 B. It teaches against birth control.
 C. It teaches against sex education.
 D. It teaches against alternative lifestyles.

IV. Christianity is against rational thinking and science.
 A. It teaches against reason, logic, evidence, and for blind faith.
 B. It teaches against the conclusions of science.
     1. The theory of evolution.
     2. The earth's shape and orbit around the sun.

V. Christianity is too concerned with political power.
 A. It publicly endorses the Republican Party.
 B. It wants to legislate Christian morality.
     1. Obstruct homosexual rights.
     2. Illegalize abortion.
     3. Censor the media.
 C. It wants to remove the "constitutional" separation between church and state.
 D. It promotes an unrestricted capitalistic economic system.
 E. It verbally attacks political leaders and the media.
 F. It boycotts companies like Disney.

VI. Christianity breeds intolerance to other opinions, beliefs, and religions.
 A. It is divided into over 28,000 denominations.
 B. It teaches that all other religions and belief systems are satanic.

VII. Christianity tends to facilitate hate, oppression and violence.
 A. The Crusades.
 B. The Spanish Inquisition.
 C. Colonization & Imperialism.
 D. Slavery.
 E. Abortion clinic shootings & bombings.
 F. Cooperation with the Nazis.
 G. Ku Klux Klan.
 H. Salem Witch Trails.

VIII. Other General Objections.
 A. It's traditional.
     1. It's a formal, old-fashioned religion.
     2. It's the safe, common religion of the western world.
 B. It's irrelevant.
     1. It's just another moral system.
     2. It doesn't deal with real life today.
 C. The atmosphere.
     1. Church services are boring.
     2. The church buildings are archaic and unattractive.
 D. The people.
     1. Christians are judgmental, legalistic perfectionists.
     2. Church is for old, white, middle-class women.
     3. Christians aren't like me; they don't understand me.
     4. Christians are hypocrites.
     5. Christians are pushy.
     6. Christians are weird.
